What is the size of the Con-Tain container?
A Con-Tain washout box is approximately 7 1/2’w x 15’l x 27” h. It holds approximately 5.25 cubic yards of solids.
How long will it take to deliver a Con-Tain container to my site?
We request a 48-hour notice for delivery; however we will work with you to accommodate your schedule.
How long will it take to have a Con-Tain container removed from our site?
We also request 48-hours notice for pickup. However, we will of course work with you to accommodate your schedule.
How long will the truck be on my job site when the container is removed?
The process of draining the liquids and removing the container requires approximately 20-30 minutes.
Can we have the caustic water removed from the Concrete Washout Box to provide room for additional solids?
Absolutely. Just call us, and we will come and pump out the liquids so that they can be recycled.
How do you process the water?
After drawing it out of the container, we add acid to neutralize the liquid. We then take it to an approved waste-water treatment plant. There it is filtered and treated prior to being reintroduced into the water table.
How do you process the solids?
After the liquids have been drawn off, we take the solids to a concrete recycling facility, where they are crushed and incorporated into a recycled product for contractors.
What if we only need a Con-Tain container for a one day pour?
That is no problem. The more notice you can provide, the easier it will be to schedule. problem, be sure to schedule early.
Can we put the Con-Tain container on the street?
There is no problem placing the container on the street, providing you are following all local ordinances. It is your responsibility to confirm that your placement location complies with local requirements.
Can we place the container on different floors of a multi-story building?
Yes. Each container has four rigging hooks to hoist he container safely with the appropriately-rated rigging equipment.
Can you provide more than one Con-Tain washout box for a single job?
We will provide as many boxes as you need.
Can I obtain LEED® credit for using a concrete washout container?
The solids and liquids recovered through Con-Tain are all recovered and recycled. We are happy to provide you with any necessary documentation for your LEED® submission.
